DIY Chocolate Caramel and Heath Toffee

This is probably one of my favorite sweet treats. It's the perfect combination of sweet & salty...you might eat eight pieces in one sitting. You're going to want to try this recipe for yourself. Perfect for the holidays, parties, showers or just to have in the freezer when you have a late night sweets hankerin'. It's best served cold and should be stored in the freezer.

What you'll need
This is all you will need!
40 Saltine crackers (one sleeve about)
1 Cup salted butter (don’t substitute)
1 Cup brown sugar
1 12 ounce package of chocolate chips
5-6 Heath bars, crunched up for topping

Take your largest rimmed baking tray and line it with foil. Line your crackers in rows making sure that they don't overlap. The crackers should fill up the entire baking sheet. I used 48 crackers to be exact.

Time to make the caramel, yum! Melt your butter over medium-high heat in a saucepan stirring in your brown sugar gradually. Once it starts bubbling, turn the heat to medium-low and simmer for about 3 minutes. Make sure you stir continuously or it will burn.

Once your caramel has simmered for a few minutes, pour it straight on the crackers. You want it to be pretty runny so don't worry that it isn't thick. Try to evenly pour the caramel over the crackers, don’t worry about covering everything, it will spread in the oven.

Place your baking sheet in the oven at 325 degrees for about 8 minutes. You want the caramel to spread out nicely over the crackers. It should be bubbling before you take it out of the oven.

After removing your tray from the oven, pour your chocolate chips over the crackers right away. The heat from the caramel will melt the chocolate chips. Let it sit for 5 minutes to melt.

While your chocolate chips are melting crush up your Heath bars into little pieces. I used a hammer and lightly hit each bar while they were still in the wrappers. Don't hit them too hard though you don't want it to be dust!

After 5 minutes, use a rubber spatula to spread out your chocolate chips evenly over the crackers.

Now sprinkle on your Heath pieces!

Place your tray in the freezer and allow between 2-4 hours to fully freeze. Once you remove your toffee it should be rock hard! Flip your toffee over and peel off the foil. It should come off in one whole piece. You might have a few left over pieces here or there but not to worry it's easy to peel off!

Break your toffee up into pieces with your hand or cut it with a knife.

Eat right away! Whatever is left over just place in Tupperware and store in the freezer. Enjoy!

  14. I was so confused by this at first, with the crackers, but was completely sold when I saw the heath package. Yum. Right now, I'm seriously regretting my career plan because its only 10:30 and I'm sitting in an office with no means of putting this together for at least 8 more hours. Tick tock.

  23. I was a HIV-AIDS patient and I got it from cheating on my wife. It was sort of a payback but a week later I was told by a friend that the person who I cheated with had the HIV-AIDS virus and did not tell me. I was so stupid by not using a condom I thought since he was an old school friend he was trustworthy. But I was wrong. I cried and cried. Two days later, I got a phone call from my friend and he told me about a person who is known by another friend, who can help me. I could not let my wife know what I was going through. I finally got his email address: oseremenspelltemple@gmail.com and I emailed this man my story and he replied me immediately saying i should be calm and told me that everything will be OK. I could not come to terms with what I was hearing but then I concluded it did not matter because I was so broken I just needed help. I was going out of my mind literally. I was confused with what he was telling me, but I listened. He told me about some materials i need to buy that he needed to cast the spell and I said OK. I bought the materials to him, I sent down my picture to him and my positive result sheet and he replied me that i am going to be negative under 3days. I message Him every 2hours for 2day and I knew he thought that I was crazy but I did care I needed a shoulder. Behold, the third day he messaged me i should go for a test that i will be negative. My marriage could be broken because of a stupid mistake and my life was on the line. I remembered when I was going to get the results of my re-test I called him up again and told him that I was going to get my results today and his reply was “so" and that everything will be as he explained. I knew then that he was getting tired of me calling him, maybe I was wrong. Well I got my results and the first person I called was him - again. As he said hello I started to cry and cry. I could not believe it. I was given a second chance in life. This man is a great spiritual HIV/AIDS healer, his healing spell on aids healing is very powerful .please brothers and sister, contact Dr Ose oseremenspelltemple@gmail.com
