What We Wore Wednesday

{Left: Audra | Right: Summer}
This is a new kinda post for me, but my beautiful coworker, Summer, and I thought it would be fun to do a What We Wore Wednesday post and share some of our "Fashion Sense." Lately, Summer and I have been stuck on jean shirts, button ups and skinny black pants. Actually, I've been stuck on black skinny pants for the past two years, I just love them!
Accessories: Pink vintage necklace (found on Ebay), gold sequin Valentino cross body handbag and Alice and Olive rhinestone cuff.
If you know me, then you know I love crazy shoes! Especially ones with studs or spikes. Others must like spikes too, because I literally get like ten compliments a day when I wear these. Loving Summer's biker boots too. So excited for Fall so I can break my boots out...well, I actually have already, even in the 90 degree Texas weather, I just couldn't resist!

Hopefully you have enjoyed a small glimpse into Summer and I's wardrobe! If you do let us know in the comment section and I will do more posts like this! :)

Butterscotch & Chocolate Chip Vegan Cookies

I bet you're looking at that title and scratching your head. Vegan cookies? To a non-vegan person it might not sound so tasty. No butter, no milk and no eggs? Don't worry, I had my doubts too, but from one meat eater to another...these are delicious! I cheated just a little though. The Butterscotch chips pictured here are not Vegan, but they do make them! I just couldn't find them in my local grocery store. You can order them online here. I swear, my heart was in the right place, but my meat loving side just didn't care, hehe!

Butterscotch & Chocolate Chip Vegan Cookies

Ingredients
2 cups unbleached flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup raw sugar
1/2 cup canola or vegetable oil
1 to 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup vegan butterscotch chips
1/4 cup vegan chocolate chips

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place cookie sheets on top of the oven to preheat. In a large bowl mix all ingredients until well combined. Be careful to not over mix. Use a teaspoon to scoop and scoop out two teaspoons worth of mixture to form your cookie. The mixture will be crumbly so be sure to really pack it together when you make your ball. Press slightly to flatten it before putting it on your ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake for 5 minutes. Rotate tray and bake for another 4 minutes. Cookies should be softer than you want them. They will harden as they cool, but still be soft. Remember these will not be golden like normal chocolate chip cookies. Remove from oven and transfer to a cooling rack. If cookies split when transferring wait a minute or two then transfer.
You will be amazed at how much these taste like regular cookies! Sweet and salty, everyone loves them! Even my carnivore of a husband thinks they rock.

Photoshop Tutorial - How to Make a Pumpkin

After sharing my free owl and pumpkin thank you printable, I was asked to post a Photoshop how-to tutorial. I've never done a Photoshop post, but none the less, here I am! So, since Fall is quickly approaching and this is my first Photoshop how-to I figured I would start simple and show you how to make the pumpkin that I created for the printable.

I am going to go ahead and assume that most of you using this how-to have some working knowledge of Photoshop. I did my best to keep it as remedial as possible for those of you who haven't used Photoshop very much, but if you have questions about any of the steps please feel free to ask in the comments section below! If you like this type of post let me know and I will do more!
