Give me SPARKLE!

**Find my fine powder glitter sole tutorial HERE!**

Some girls are just born with glitter in their veins...
Or in this case, on their shoes!
Have you seen the Rene Caovilla glitter sole heels? If you haven't, get out from whatever rock you're living under and check them out!
Source
Aren't they awesome!? Who doesn't love a little sparkle? On my shoes? Yes, please! These bad boys will set you back a cool $1000, so why not make your own? It's easy!

Here Is What You'll Need:
- a pair of heels
- your choice of fine glitter
- mod podge
- sponge paintbrush
- acrylic sealant spray paint

Start by mixing your mod podge and glitter.

Next, paint it right on to the sole of your shoe! Make sure the sole is clean before you start. You might also want to tape it off. I have a pretty steady hand so I didn't use any tape.

Your glitter will look something like this. I used large glitter grain, which looks great, but I will use fine powder glitter for the next pair! This was just the test pair. Once you have painted the sole sprinkle on another layer of dry glitter and tap off any loose bits. Hang your shoes and let them dry for 5 or 10 minutes. Now, spray the soles with your acrylic sealant spray. Let that dry for at least an hour and you can give it a second coat if you like. Allow the shoes to dry overnight before wearing them.

How easy and cool is that!? You can also find my second post about glitter shoes using Martha Stewart's fine powder glitter HERE Now, go rock you some glitter shoes girl!

Wedding Bunting & My First Vlog!!

If you're looking for the link party you can find it HERE!

Hi everyone! Okay, so I am really excited about today's post for two reasons. {#1} I made this bunting for my sister's wedding which is less than a month away!!! and {#2} I used this tutorial as a segue into my very first Vlog ( video+blog = vlog )! I've never made one before, but I've been wanting to for a long time. I figured this was a nice and easy tutorial to start with. If y'all enjoy this let me know and I will continue to make more! Please excuse the hair, clothes and makeup! I was a hot mess after work and taking care of two dogs is messy business, I promise to look a little more put together for the next one!

Today, I will be showing you how to make a scrapbook paper bunting. This is just like my "Give Thanks" Fall bunting but for a wedding. If you missed my first bunting you can find it HERE
Here is what it will look like when we're finished!
I love how it turned out. I wanted to keep it simple and clean. I used purple, brown and champagne to match my sister's wedding colors.
Here is a close up of the colors. I love the pattern! It will go great with her outside Texas wedding. Rustic but not too country.

My sister is a smart, smart woman but she doesn't get as excited about wedding details as I do. So of course I am more than happy to offer some of my creativity! I found my inspiration in these pictures and envision her using the bunting like this in her photography on the day of the wedding!

For This Project You Will Need
- two colors of scrapbook paper
- cardboard triangle template
- twine
- glue stick
- scissors
- mod podge
- paint brush
- computer & printer

Alright, the big video reveal! Okay, don't get too excited. It's a pretty simple video, but none the less, I am pretty excited because it is my first one! I hope you enjoy and please let me know what you think!

Fall Cinnamon Cider

Fall is finally here! Well, it's still in the 80's to 90's here in Texas but Fall weather is on its way! Today, I wanted to share with you a recipe I learned from a friend, Fall Cinnamon Cider! I'm not sure if her family has a name for it but it sure is good and that's what I'm going to call it!

Here Is What You'll Need
Orange juice, Cranberry juice & two boxes of Red Hots*, pretty simple!
Start by pouring in the entire carton of Orange juice into a large pot. Next, add in only half of your Cranberry juice. You should have a nice orange-ish red color. Now, pour in one to two boxes of Red Hots *I used two boxes but I like lots of cinnamon. Start by adding one box and add more to your taste*. Turn your burner to high and heat your liquid until all of the Red Hots have melted. Stir occasionally so that your Red Hots don't stick to the bottom of the pot.
You can also hollow out an apple to serve your Cinnamon Cider in, but this is optional. I do think it's a nice touch and the juices seeping from the apple makes it taste even better! By the way, this will make your house smell wonderful! When I smell this, I definitely think of Fall/Winter.
Now, was that simple or what? You can drink it warm by itself, or if you're feeling a little naughty, you can add some Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum or Fireball Whiskey. It is also tasty served cold with a touch of Vodka! Enjoy!

Baby Diaper Cake - Little Boy Style!

Finally, I can share with you my first diaper cake! This past weekend I attended one of my best friend's baby shower and knowing me I had to make something special with my hands to give her! I had never made one before but I have seen such cute cakes, I had to give it a go! I've had to keep it a secret for weeks and I've been dying to share!

My First Baby Diaper Cake - Little Boy Style!
Here's What You'll Need

- About 60 to 70 diapers (I used newborn size)
- Rubber bands
- Receiving blankets
- 2 Bottles
- Ribbon
- Hot glue
- Any baby items you want for the cake!

Start by rolling up your diapers and rubber banding them individually. Next, assemble them in a circle around your base bottle using a rubber band to secure them in place.
Start your next layer of diapers and keep securing them with a rubber band.
For your base create three layers and reduce by one for each additional layer.
Wrap each of your layers in receiving blankets. Ironing them beforehand and securing them with a safety pin.
Stack each of your layers and then comes the fun, start decorating!

I used ribbon, spoons, a teddy, and baby booties to decorate mine!
On the backside I used cute little wooden animals to hide the seams which she could later use for a craft project for her babies room!

Voila! My first diaper cake! I really hope that my next friend who gets pregnant has a little girl so I can make another one!
